Our Story

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me — I’ve always been the type to figure it out on my own. But after five years of trying to grow our family, Al and I have reached a point where we can’t do this alone.

We’ve been through two retrievals, countless procedures, two failed transfers, and one early pregnancy loss. We’ve poured $60,000 into this journey — along with our hope, energy, and hearts — and yet we’re still waiting for the child we dream of.

Despite it all, our life together is full of love. We have two amazing stepkids, a home we made our own, two dogs, two cats, and a business we built from scratch. The only thing missing is a biological child together. We know it’s possible — we’ve created healthy embryos before — and we believe that with a new clinic and protocol, we finally have a real chance.

About Us

Hi, I’m Lisa. By day, I work in corporate as an Area Leader for 7-Eleven. By night, I run my salon, 24 Karat Glow, a business I built from the ground up and pour my heart into. When I’m not working, I’m with my family — my husband Al, our two kids, and our little zoo of pets who run the house. We love movie nights, quick weekend getaways, and laughing our way through laser tag.

Al is the most hopeful person I know, which is remarkable given what he’s been through — losing both of his parents, his first son, and even surviving being shot. Most people would grow hardened, but not him. He believes in good things ahead, and his strength keeps me grounded in hope.

We’ve walked through so much already, but we’re not giving up. We still believe in this dream.
